“Where are we going, Snake?”

Akwasi sat next to him in his SUV, buckled in with Ahote huffing over her shoulder. Aside from the command, Ahote had taken a liking to her and her son.

“Hote,” Kondo cried from his car seat.

Ahote yipped in response.

“I thought you might like to meet the men who helped save you. They’ve been waiting to be officially introduced to a star,” Snake answered her.

She straightened her white button up shirt with her flower print skirt.

“You look fine, and Jayla will be there,” Snake told her.

“Stormagaga Jayla,” Kondo added.

“Storma-what?” Akwasi asked.

“Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All. You’d have to meet Jayla to understand.”

“That’s the woman who took care of him while you were gone,” Akwasi said.

“Yes, and Caroline and Fee. They are SEALs’ wives. They’ll come around to meet you, they’ve been waiting, too.”

They drove in silence until he pulled up at command on base. They couldn’t meet in public yet and risk someone seeing her before they were ready to tell the world she lived. In command, her protection was assured.

“Come on, baby. Let’s get inside.”

Snake helped Akwasi from the car, and then released Ahote. Ahote went to her side and waited as Snake got Kondo out of his car seat and put him on his feet.

“Pick me up, baba,” Kondo said.

“Fine, son. I’ve spoiled you already, I see.”

As a group they went into the building, and then hung a left to get to the conference room. When they entered, the SEALs got to their feet.

“Akwasi, that big blonde over there is Heim, and the Irishman next to him is Welsh.”

“Bawbag,” Welsh grumbled. “I’m a Scot, Ms. Akwasi. Don’t listen to stupid people who are about to get shot.”

“Calm your knickers, Welsh. You’re just trying to get into her pants with your accent,” Cry Baby said.

“And that would be a death sentence, Cry Baby,” Snake said.

Akwasi chuckled. “You call a grown man Cry Baby?”

“Finally, someone who understands what I’m feeling,” Cry Baby said.

“Next to Cry Baby over there is Glitz, and to his right is Hawk,” Snake explained.

“Oh, snub, you didn’t get a special welcoming, Glitz,” Welsh said.

“Yeah, after I blew up the place to get her out, too,” Glitz said.

“Hello,” Akwasi said. She waved, but stepped closer to Snake.

“Don’t be afraid of these babies, they have big guns to overcompensate for small, ehm, sorry, my baby is present,” Snake said.

Snake smiled as Jayla breezed into the room. She pulled Akwasi into a big hug before she reached for Kondo. Her pigtails were blue today, to match her Tardis leggings under her black pleated skirt. Her black t-shirt sported the Punisher emblem and she had matching skull earrings. Jayla was a different soul, but Snake loved her the minute he met her.

Behind her, Wolf, Cookie, Dude, Mozart, Abe, Benny, Caroline, and Fiona came in. Snake made their introductions as well.

“Fee and Caroline here helped me spoil the little human rotten. And yes, I gave him ice cream for breakfast and pancakes with syrup for dinner,” Jayla said. She blew into Kondo’s neck and he giggled.
